  • image2Joint Action China 2012 started in July 2013 and finished in June 2016. It received funding from the European Union and it was coordinated by PROSAFE. 12 market surveillance authorities from 10 countries have developed procedures and schemes that could help European import control authorities identify goods from manufacturers that have proven to have production control systems in place. This would allow an authority to focus its attention on other manufacturers that would be more likely to place non-complaint and unsafe toys on the market. Read more here.

    PROSAFE has hosted the Annual Market Surveillance Workshop of the Joint Action 2015, between 30 to 31 May 2017 in Brussels. The MSAs participating to JA2015 had the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions. Read more about the subjects discussed during the two-day workshop here
  • image3The Second CIMS Review of JA2015, coordinated by PROSAFE, took place in Utrecht and Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands, on 14-15-16 February 2017. The meeting was hosted by the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority, NVWA. The results, conclusions and recommendations have been published in a report which is available in the Members area.

PROSAFE has coordinated various specific market surveillance activities dealing with toy safety within the EEA, which were co-funded by the European Union. Since 2014, PROSAFE has decided to coordinate a new joint market surveillance activity on toys every year.
