PROSAFE Office

The PROSAFE Board is mandated to establish a PROSAFE Office to support the day-to-day running of the organisation.

Our Staff

Ioana Zlotila, Executive Director, took up her position in June 2018. Ioana Zlotila has been with PROSAFE since 2010. The Executive Director was appointed by and is accountable to the Board. She is responsible for the overall management of the Office and of the Joint Actions that are undertaken on a periodic and continual basis. She develops and implements the organisation strategic plans and policies. She manages everyday functions of the office, providing leadership, direction and coaching the office staff. She also oversees the development of the Joint Actions throughout the entire project cycle from priority-setting and inception to the final acceptance by the European Commission, including monitoring the project budget and evaluation of the performance.

Maria Kies started working for PROSAFE in 2010 as an accountant. She is now a Financial Officer and is responsible for handling payments, managing the project records and receipts.  Maria also supports the financial administration of the projects and of the organisation.

Peter Mollenbrock started working for PROSAFE in 2010 as an external accountant and is now the Financial Officer in charge of the project and organisation financial administration. He supports the management in the preparation of project budgets, annual accounts, financial reporting and auditing for the Joint Actions.

Sonja Brehonnet Linnea started working for PROSAFE at the end of 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and is now the Personal Assistant to the Executive Director. Sonja is in charge of the project administrative tasks, project correspondence, project filing system, organisation of project meetings and conferences, technical support, drafting and maintaining project documents and managing the schedule of the Executive Director.

Petra Krčmářová started working for PROSAFE in May 2018 as a Junior Project Officer. She develops and disseminates communication materials and publications that increase the visibility of our projects among market surveillance authorities, the European Commission and stakeholders. Other responsibilities include social media content creation, e-learning, website development and content management, media support for events and conferences, and assisting the project management team.

Kyriakos Papazoglou started working for PROSAFE in June 2018 as a Project and Communications Officer. He develops the overall communication and stakeholder outreach strategy, overseeing that the objectives and targets of each communication tool delivered for our projects are met on time and with high quality standards. He supports the Executive Director in all issues related to project management, delivering effective communications that support the organisation goals and ensure project success.

Ludmila Nistor Mihajlova will start working for PROSAFE on 1 September 2018 as a Project and Events Officer. She will be taking care of all logistical and administrative aspects related to the organisation of meetings including organisation of travel and accommodation arrangements. She will be supporting the Executive Director in all issues related to the organisation of events.

Project Assistant - This role has been recently vacated and we will soon look for a replacement for Mr Rui Carneiro who has been with PROSAFE for four years.

Collaborators

PROSAFE also engages a number of thirteen consultants to provide expertise and to effectively support the work and facilitate the various Joint Actions and their activities.

General Assembly

PROSAFE Members form part of the General Assembly of PROSAFE to which observers may also be invited. The General Assembly shall appoint a Board which oversees the day-to-day management of the organisation and ensures that PROSAFE is run on a non-profit basis.
The General Assembly (GA) is responsible for approving, disapproving or amending the Strategic and Financial Plans of PROSAFE as recommended by the Board.

The GA meets twice a year to discuss issues related to market surveillance and product safety. Of particular importance is the informal nature of sharing and discussion with respect to non-compliant products found within the market during that periods in between the meetings, especially those which have just entered the market or which may be border-line cases.

In order to become a PROSAFE Member, you need to be an officer involved in market surveillance from a country member of the Council of Europe.
