Pyrotechnics
According to the definitions in the Directive on pyrotechnic articles Directive 2013/29/EU, a ‘pyrotechnic article’ means any article containing explosive substances or an explosive mixture of substances designed to produce heat, light, sound, gas or smoke or a combination of such effects through self-sustained exothermic chemical reactions. This definition comprises several different types of articles for theatrical use, for technical use and fireworks for amusement.. Our Actions have focussed on fireworks for use by consumers (category 1, 2 and some articles in category 3 in some countries).
Besides the above, we will also coordinate a project on Pyrotechnic marine distress signals and rescue products that fall under the marine equipement directive 2014/90/EU
