JAHARP2022-3 Chainsaws: Information notice on the opening of a competive procurement process on laboaratory testing
In the context of the EU co-funded joint market surveillance action JAHARP2022-3 on Chainsaws, PROSAFE sought to identify, through two consecutive open tendering procedures in February and March 2024, competent test laboratories, having accreditation in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 765/2008. These two procurement rounds did not deliver the expected outcomes and thus have not led to a contract award.
In response to that, in April 2024, PROSAFE (re-)engaged with the market by means of a contract notice, inviting all identified test bodies to submit, through a survey, their interest to participate in a competitive dialogue procurement process for the purchase of services for testing two types of equipment:
- Electric corded chain-saws; and
- Electric battery-powered (cordless) chain-saws.
The competitive dialogue will be organised as individual 1-to-1 virtual meetings between the project and the test bodies that expressed their interest to take part in the dialogue by responding to a prior contract notice and an expression of interest survey.
The dialogue sessions are scheduled to begin on 14 May 2024.
