Building market surveillance
This year it is 25 years ago that PROSAFE was born!
We would like to mark this ocasion with a celebration on 21 April 2016. This will take place back to back with the Launch Meeting of JA2015 on 20 April, meaning that the travel costs of the participants of this Joint Action will be covered. AGENDA launch event
During 2015, PROSAFE has coordinated one CIMS (Continuous Improvement in Market Surveillance) Review. These reviews are performed amongst peer market surveillance authorities in order to further improve their performance and activities by learning from each other’s best practices as well as giving advice to each other where applicable.
Eleven market surveillance authorities coming from the following Member States: Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Croatia, Italy, Malta, Poland, Sweden, The Slovak Republic, Slovenia and the United Kingdom, were involved in this CIMS Review. Michael Cassar, the Director of the Market Surveillance Directorate within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) has been the task leader.
During 2014, PROSAFE has again coordinated two other CIMS (Continuous Improvement in Market Surveillance) Reviews. These are reviews performed amongst peer market surveillance authorities in order to further improve their performance and activities by learning from each other’s best practices as well as giving advice to each other where applicable.
Nine market surveillance authorities coming from the following Member States: Bulgaria, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Malta, Sweden and the UK, were involved in these CIMS Reviews. Michael Cassar, the Director of the Market Surveillance Directorate within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) has been the task leader for these two CIMS reviews.
