The JAHARP2021-08 project, focused on consumer fireworks and marine distress signals and rescue products, started in June 2022 and will end in July 2024. Its main goal was detecting product non-compliances with the Directive 2013/29/EU on pyrotechnic articles and Directive 2014/90/EU on marine equipment.

A Final Conference was held on 11 July 2024, during which the project team presented the results of the Action and the difficulties that Market Surveillance Authorities (MSAs) face in this field to the European Commission and key stakeholders.

Background

The Joint Market Surveillance Action on HARmonised Products 2021 Omnibus is a portfolio of projects co-funded by the European Union (EU) comprising 7 product areas and 3 horizontal/capacity-building activities.

In total, it involves 45 MSAs from the following 25 Countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
